We're about a month away from Empire's grand return, and as more plot tidbits and special guest casting news leak, the wait becomes that much more insufferable. Thankfully, this new featurette is peppered with a few substantial teases to tide us over as the season premiere draws closer. The clip shows that season two will pick up three months after the events of the season one finale, with Lucious still in jail; Jamal still on the defensive heading up the company; and Hakeem, Anika, Cookie, and Andre still aligned to take him down.
Taraji P. Henson also discloses that more of Lucious' backstory will be revealed. In addition to all of the new cameos, Naomi Campbell will return as Hakeem's estranged cougar-friend. And Terrence Howard describes the season as "Lucious' revenge. It's the rise of Satan." Sounds like just the right amount of absurd. Watch the full featurette above.
