Judging From the Trailer, Aziz Ansari's New Netflix Series Is Going to Be Great

The comedian's new original series looks like Netflix's next hit.

Netflix made news this week with their plans to revive yet another cult favorite property, but they're still in the original series game too. Next up is a new dramedy from revered comedianAziz Ansari called Master of None. It's fictional but largely meta, with Aziz playing a 30 year-old actor struggling actor living in New York who seems lost in all aspects of life from romance to career and everything in between—his actual parents even play his parents on the show. Judging from the trailer, it seems like a slightly less morose Louie—the racist gag at the end is especially CK-esque.

Somber humor from a young man's relatable perspective in lieu of Louie's more middle-aged skew sounds very fire. Master of None debuts on Friday, Nov. 6.
