The National Basketball Association just earned an unexpected—and ridiculous—boost from Hannibal Buress. Fans crowded the Toronto International Film Festival on Feb. 13 to watch the comedian—best known for reigniting the public's interest in sexual assault allegations against Bill Cosbyread Space Jam, according to the Daily Dot.

You are not being Punk’d. The event commemorated the 20th anniversary of the classic Michael Jordan-led film. NBA TV's Kristen Ledlow, YouTube star Jasmeet Singh, and comedian Mark Little were among the famous faces that joined Buress at the live reading. Toronto-based illustrators Dasha Zolota and Evan Munday even drew animations for the event, which they shared on Twitter.

The All-Star weekend serves as the midpoint for the NBA season. It's a time for players to rest and partake in the festivities, which are happening in Toronto this year. There's parties, celebrities, and plenty-of-money, which appeals to everybody, including those who've never stepped on a basketball court. The weekend culminates with the All-Star game, which features the NBA's best competing against each other for trophies and conference bragging rights.

Of course, this isn't the first time Space Jam's gotten the live treatment. Blake Griffin attempted a similar feat in April 2014.
