Charlie Cox Is Already Thinking About Two Villains for 'Daredevil' Season 3

One we've seen before in the Netflix series, and the other we've been waiting for.

Last year Marvel made its Netflix debut with Daredevil, starring Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock. We loved the stairwell fight in Season 1 and the overall darkness the show added to Marvel's world. Both Netflix and Marvel had a lot to live up to as the second season approached, but that pressure was successfully harnessed, and the series delivered for a second time. While most Daredevil fans are currently making their way through the second season, Cox is already thinking about some major villain appearances for a third season, Comics Alliance reports.

The first villain that Cox brought up is one of Matt Murdock's well known nemeses who has yet to make an appearance in the series. While speaking to ScreenRant about the current season and plans for additional seasons, Cox said, "If we are fortunate enough to continue making the Daredevil series, I can’t imagine doing a run of Daredevil where Bullseye doesn’t show up at some point." Daredevil fans got hyped when Jason Statham was rumored to appear as Bullseye in the second season, but those hopes were dashed when Statham reportedly dropped out of negotiations with Marvel and made a jab at their approach to the modern action flick.

The second villain Cox mentioned is already a familiar face in Netflix's series: Wilson Fisk. Cox expressed his his hopes that Vincent D'Onofrio would return to reprise his role if Daredevil gets renewed. Cox said, "There’s so much Daredevil-Wilson Fisk left untold." Based on what Cox has divulged about his personal hopes for future Daredevil seasons, we've got our fingers crossed for a third season.
