We all hear that we just have to visit Paris and Mexico because they are the dopest vacation spots of all freaking time. Your friends return home from teaching English in South Korea and spend their first three weeks back trying to convince you that you'll love it there. What everyone fails to take into consideration is that all vacation destinations aren't created equally.
If you're just trying to shop for high end fashion, a remote Sub Saharan village probably isn't going to work for you. When you're trying to be on your Bizarre Foods tip, venturing off to a place with fast food joints on every corner won't be worth the trip. You have to find a place that vibes well with you, whether you're a serious athlete, adventurer, or someone who prefers to travel alone. Don't know where to start? Here are some awesome trips tailored to you.

10. The Ballin' Traveler
Destination: Luxembourg
Who you should bring with you: Someone you're happy to spend money on. Go with a friend who has stacks like you and it'll turn into a competition.
What to pack: Your black card. Don't have one? Stay home.
When you go shopping, you don't bother looking at price tags, you just cop everything you like. Don't bother checking the currency conversion rates because you got it to spend anyway? A stamp from Luxembourg would look good on your passport. With "luxe" in its name, you're sure to get luxury accommodations and five-star meals featuring the Germanic and Latin cultural fusion, but it will come with a hefty price tag. It's a tiny country, but since it's right next to Belgium, France, and Germany, you've got the leeway to extend your Luxembourg trip to the surrounding places as well.
The Low-Key Traveler
Destination: U.S. Virgin Islands
Who you should bring with you: A person who is equally addicted to their Kindle.
What to pack: Go with your stress, leave with your sanity.
You'd rather skip the parties, the mountain climbing, and the arduous journeys through remote villages. Can't a guy just chill out and relax on vacation? Book a trip to the U.S. Virgin Islands and you can do just that. American passport expired? Don't bother stressing about it. Enjoy the serenity of the Caribbean without placing a rush order on it. Folks on the islands of USVI operate at a pace much more relaxing than the hustle and bustle of the contiguous USA, so if you just need a place to find peace of mind, you know where to go.
The Frugal Traveler
Destination: Thailand
Who you should bring with you: Another cheap dude. No top shelf liquor on this trip.
What to pack: Your own refillable water bottles.
It's a miracle that you put aside your cheapness and dished out a grand or two to take a vacation—you're definitely not going to blow all of your money just because you're away from home. If you're not spending more than five bucks on lunch in your city, no one is getting more than five dollars from you on another continent. When you're trying to keep most of your bands in your pocket when on a trip, Thailand is a destination you need to consider. Get in all of the culture of the Southeast Asian kingdom and visit the Buddhist temples where the entrance fee is less than a dollar. Your trip to Thailand may even turn into an adventure excursion for you when you barter with merchants at the floating markets in Damnoen Saduak and go home with a collection of T-shirts that will last you through the summer.
7. The Solo Traveler
Destination: United Kingdom
Who you should bring with you: You like to roll solo dolo, so no travel buddy for you.
What to pack: Nothing special, just don't leave your common sense at home.
Travelling to the UK alone is a great idea for someone who wants to stay busy on their vacation, but doesn't want to have to compromise his itinerary for a whining friend. A common concern of solo travelers is becoming bored and lonely while away from home, but when you can spend your days bouncing between shops, museums, and hitting raves and parties at night, you'll be too preoccupied with fitting everything into your schedule to encounter anything resembling boredom. The UK has a diverse population in its big cities like London and Edinburgh, so if you are looking for some last-minute travel companionship, you'll have no trouble meeting new folks whom you can hang out with while abroad.
The Cultured Guy
Destination: India
Who you should bring with you: A friend who has no problems doing the water runs. It's hot and you don't want to die of heat stroke, but you're not losing your place in the Taj Mahal line.
What to pack: Toilet paper. The food is good, but your stomach may not agree.
The seventh largest country and home to one of the wonders of the world, India is the perfect destination for a culture-phile. The cultural landscape of India is everything but homogeneous and a trip to this country this rich in history will satiate any traveler's appetite for cultural exploration. Travel to India to gain insight on Dharmic religions and celebrate with the people during Diwali and Guru Nanak Jayanti. Journey from region to region, hear the over 400 different languages spoken and watch as the cultural traditions vary between communities. If you're equal parts adventurer, foodie, and history buff, a vacation to India will surpass your expectations.
The Backpacker
Destination: Georgia
Who you should bring with you: A cartograpy nerd. There's no HopStop on the unbeaten path.
What to pack: Get one of those fancy backpacks and get a dog tag made. You never know what can happen in those mountains.
The unspoiled land of the Georgian landscape makes the country a dream destination for the backpacking types. The majority of backpackers haven't explored the Caucasus region as much as other European terrain, which makes Georgia a great place for you to explore a path less travelled. Get around the region in minibuses called Marshrutkas and be taken to remote towns where the inhabitants are happy to welcome you into their homes and break bread with you.
The Player
Destination: Brazil
Who you should bring with you: The best wingman in your crew.
What to pack: Condoms.
Duh. Of course a single guy looking to stare at some of the world's most beautiful women has to make it to Brazil before he finds a lady who makes him put a ring on it. There's so much more to Brazil then the tan women in G-string bikinis, so make sure you take the time to explore all of that, too, but the women make the long flight well worth it. If you think you can handle it, make sure your trip includes the four-day Carnival celebration, but be on point. These women see tourist guys everyday and they have no time for your Gringo bullshit.
The Thrill-Seeker
Destination: France
Who you should bring with you: Someone strong enough to catch you when the bungee cord snaps.
What to pack: A first aid kit.
When you think of France, images of baguettes, berets, and the Eiffel Tower spring to mind, but the French have a lot more going on than Givenchy graphic tees and wine. The adventurous traveler in you will fare well in Corsica, France, where you can find countless opportunities for the adrenaline rush you seek. The GR20 trail is one of the longest and toughest trails in Europe, so obviously it's one of the best. Take the 15 days to walk the trail from start to finish, or abandon that and get into some ice climbing or diving. This French island isn't a trip to Saint Tropez, which means Corsica is the perfect destination for you.
The Foodie
Destination: Argentina
Who you should bring with you: Someone with an adventurous palette. You won't be able to finish that cow brain alone.
What to pack: Pack a small pharmacy of digestive aids and Pepto Bismol. Your GI tract will be busy.
Vegetarians may want to sit this foodie trip out as the Argentines are known for having some of the best beef on the planet. When cooked over a parilla, the grass fed cattle will taste better than any beef you've ever had on American soil. Argentine cuisine is a fusion of Mediterranean and traditional South American foods, which means you get to take trips to different countries just by sampling different plates. After all of the carne de vaca y carne de cordero, your sweet tooth will start kicking in. This won't be a problem in Argentina—indulge in all of the dulce de leche you can before boarding the plane back home. Don't forget to bring some back in your luggage.
The Athlete
Destination: Costa Rica
Who you should bring with you: A friend who's in shape, but a little less athletic than you. You don't want to spend your vacation losing beach volleyball everyday.
What to pack: Your cell phone with all of the fitness apps downloaded and ready to go. Make sure it's synced to all your social networks as your friends need to know how many miles you biked in the mountains.
You want to take a break from your day-to-day grind, but you're not going to disrupt your workout schedule just to get a tan in another country? Have an awesome Central American vacation and continue putting your muscles to work in Costa Rica. Get with your friends and kick their asses while surfing the waves, biking in the mountainous terrain of the country, or if yoga is how you get your stretch on, that's there for you, too. If you think that you'll step off of the plane and just lay on the beach during the length of your trip, book one of the many fitness vacations available in Costa Rica. Don't worry, you'll come back from your vacation with your six-pack.
