For some time now Kristen Wiig has been flexing her dramatic chops, proving that she’s one of the most talented actresses working today. She broke hearts in The Skeleton Twins, devastated in Welcome to Me, and will now lead my upcoming biopic Crying in a Sweater.
In what looks to be her most promising role yet, Wiig stars as a woman who spends each waking moment crying in sweaters of all varieties—fuzzy, Christmas, striped. Noticeably absent, however, is Drake’s world famous “Hotline Bling” grey turtleneck.
Last night Wiig appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live—for whatever reason—to premiere the trailer for her “new extremely independent film,” as Kimmel calls it. Kimmel speculates the role will push her into Oscar contention, but Wiig appears more interested in all the work she is doing.
