Last night at the Museum of the Moving Image in New York City, David Chase—creator of The Sopranos, man who ruined onion rings for an entire nation—was yet again accosted for the “blackout” that ended the beloved HBO show. Honestly, we’re not all that surprised.

But would he consider revisiting the series? Apparently, it’s something Chase has considered.

When asked about whether he has considered doing a Sopranos movie, he said:

By no means does this mean it’s a done deal. This is just flirting, mind you. However, it’s fascinating to think about a sort of Sopranos-Boardwalk Empire hybrid that tracks the rise of the Soprano family.

Despite that nugget, the best quote of the night came from an exasperated Chase when he received something like his 497th question about the ending of the show. As someone began to dissect the religious connotations of the manner in which Tony, Carmela, and AJ were eating, Chase offered, “I don’t know, maybe [Tony] choked on an onion ring.”
