Super Mario Run has left this past summer’s gaming craze Pokémon Go in the dust when it comes to first day downloads, reportedThe Verge. Super Mario Run—Nintendo’s first iOS game—was first announced at Apple’s keynote event in September and subsequently helped Nintendo’s stock jump.

Analytics firm Apptopia reported Super Mario Run was downloaded 2.85 million times on its launch day. However, another analytics firm, App Annie, reported the game was up to 10 million downloads worldwide. Of those downloads, they said 3.5 million were from the U.S. For comparison, Pokémon Go was downloaded 900,000 times on its launch day, though as Niantic’s game was only available in three countries when it made its debut. Apptopia reported Pokémon Go reached 5.6 million downloads by its third day of availability.

Super Mario Run features six worlds and 24 courses. The game also boasts the fact you can play with one hand. It’s not all good news for Mario’s introduction (to the younger generation) and reintroduction (to everyone else), as app reviews have shown people are unhappy with the game’s one-time $9.99 payment. The payment unlocks additional worlds and levels for the game.

Fans will get to see more of Mario in the Mario and Mario Kart games that will be available for the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo’s new gaming console, debuting March 2017.
