A video has surfaced of an unidentified man in a Joker mask and costume threatening to kill Arabs in Quebec. In the video, the masked man, speaking French, cites the terroristic Paris attacks and Islam as the reasons for his planned killing spree.
Parts of the man’s video address have been translated, including his promise: “As of next week, there will be murders all across Quebec.” He added, “We will eliminate all of them, one by one. Islam has harmed us enough.” The video’s similar to The Joker’s video threat in The Dark Knight Rises when he threatens to kill people in Gotham each day until Batman turns himself in.
The unidentified man who’s later seen holding a gun, unknown to be real or fake, also says he’s got ten people willing to join him on his sinister mission. “I will fire a bullet in the head of one Arab per week, starting next week,” he said. “I guarantee you that I am serious.”
Montreal police are already investigating, although spokesperson Laurent Gingras told VICE News he didn’t know if the case was “under their jurisdiction.” However, Gingras told VICE News,“If you make threats on social networks or on the web, there are very concrete consequences in the real world, the criminal code allows us to press charges against people who do things like this.”
