Leonardo DiCaprio, noted climate change activist, met with president-elect Donald Trump, noted climate change denier, to discuss the environment according to the Associated Press. A few days ago, Trump met with Al Gore about climate change.

Terry Tamminen, CEO of the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, revealed that the meeting, where the actor proposed environmentally friendly jobs to help the economy, happened Wednesday at Trump Tower in New York City.

"Today, we presented the president-elect and his advisors with a framework—which LDF developed in consultation with leading voices in the fields of economics and environmentalism—that details how to unleash a major economic revival across the United States that is centered on investments in sustainable infrastructure," Tamminen said. "Our conversation focused on how to create millions of secure, American jobs in the construction and operation of commercial and residential clean, renewable energy generation." Ivanka Trump was also present during the meeting, as well as other members of the Trump team. After the meeting, Tamminen said Trump suggested they meet again next month.

A source familiar with the meeting said it lasted about 90 minutes, during which DiCaprio reportedly gave Trump a copy of his recent climate change documentary Before the Flood. Trump agreed to watch it. And if he loses his copy, DiCaprio is said to have previously given Ivanka a copy of the doc.

The meeting might have been at least a little awkward, considering DiCaprio basically told people to vote against Trump when he said “vote for people who believe in the science of climate change" prior to Election Day.

Trump transition adviser Bob Walker said Trump will reportedly stop NASA’s climate change research. “Mr Trump’s decisions will be based upon solid science, not politicized science,” Walker said, notably referring to climate change as “politicized.” Trump picked Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt, who does not believe in climate change, to lead the Environmental Protection Agency.
