Some fans think that Selena Gomez and Zayn Malik are dating.
The two pop stars were rumored to be an item after they were supposedly spotted grabbing dinner together in New York City. News of their date went viral on TikTok after user @klarissa.mpeg shared a screenshot of her text exchange with a friend. In the messages, @klarissa.mpegs’ friend claimed she was Gomez and Malik’s hostess at an undisclosed restaurant.
"Tell me how Selena Gomez and Zayn just walked into [restaurant] hand in hand making out and I seated them," the text message reads.
At the moment, Gomez and Malik have not confirmed the romance rumors. This comes after eagle-eyed fans noticed that the Only Murders in the Building star and the “Pillowtalk” singer followed each other on Instagram earlier this month. Around that time, Gomez shared a TikTok video in which she poked fun at her dating life.
"I hate it when girls are like, 'Oh my God, my crush doesn't even know that I exist.' Like girl, my crush doesn't even exist!” Gomez lip-synced to an audio in her TikTok video. She then captioned the clip, “Still out here lookin for him lol."
As Selenators might recall, the singer/actress was linked to the Chainsmokers’ Drew Taggart in January after they were seen bowling together. It didn’t take long for her to squash the romance rumors, writing on her IG Stories, “I like being alone too much. #iamsingle.”
As for Malik, he hasn’t publicly dated anyone since Gigi Hadid. The two were first linked in 2015 and officially called it quits in October 2021. They share a 2-year-old daughter named Khai.
