Birthday cakes have been getting Miley Cyrus into a lot of trouble lately. The 19-year-old pop star was recently photographed licking a penis-shaped cake at her boyfriend, actor Liam Hemsworth's birthday party. This news comes just a couple of months after Miley's response to her own Bob Marley birthday cake got the former Hannah Montana star in even more trouble. We'd advise her to stay away from birthday parties for the next few weeks, but the young actress's history of wild moments proves that dessert treats aren't her only problem.
Can't Be Tamed
10. She danced in a cage for her video for "Can't Be Tamed" (2010).
In retrospect, Miley dancing in a cage for a legitimate production was the least shocking out of all of her wild moments, but given she hadn't showcased her sexuality in any of her previous work, seeing her "Can't Be Tamed" video is completely jarring after watching her as Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel. Its plot follows Miley as "Avis Cyrus, the rarest creature on earth," as she wrestles with her captivity. Cyrus transforms into a bird, clearly a play on her public persona. Of the concept's metaphor, Miley noted, "I don't want to be in cage. I want to be free and do what I love."
Teen Choice Awards
9. She danced on a stripper pole during the 2009 Teen Choice Awards.
A 16 year-old Miley caused quite an uproar after she danced on a prop meant for naked ladies: a stripper pole. To be fair, the pole was on top of an ice cream cart, presumably to either balance Miley or off-set the inappropriateness. Her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, was quick to defend his daughter, telling Access Hollywood, "You know what? I just think that Miley loves entertaining people. I always tell her to love what you're doing and stay focused for the love of the art and not worry so much about opinion." If her dad was cool with it, so are we.
Who Owns My Heart
8. She donned lingerie for her "Who Owns My Heart" video (2010).
Before the dropped, a photo of Miley in lingerie during its production was leaked online and mistook for another one of the singer's more intimate personal pics. Parents should've been relieved to know it was simply a costume for her sexy music video. Of course, once the first few seconds of Miley writhing around in skimpy attire on golden silk bed sheets aired, the Parents Television Council were outraged at the sight of their kids' biggest idol outgrowing Hannah Montana's bedazzled bellbottom jeans. The president of the PTC told TMZ, "It is unfortunate that she would participate in such a sexualized video like this one. Miley built her fame and fortune entirely on the backs of young girls and it saddens us that she seems so eager to distance herself from that fan base so rapidly."
Britain's Got Talent
7. She simulated a lesbian kiss on Britain's Got Talent.
There's absolutely no problem with teasing an audience with suggestive "lesbian" gestures, unless of course, it's the audience of a national talent competition whose audience is a traditional family of four watching the show from their dinner table. When a leather leotard-clad Miley simulated a kiss, never actually making any contact, with one of her female dancers during her 2010 performance on Britain's Got Talent, tabloids went crazy pegging her as the "Good Girl Gone Bad" and started comparing her to Madonna and Britney Spears at the 2003 MTV VMAs. In response, Miley posted on her website, "I promise you I did not kiss her and it is ridiculous that two entertainers cant even rock out with each other without the media making it some type of story."
Too Much Weed
6. She said she smokes "too much weed."
There's no better way to take the edge off by poking fun at your follies. That's exactly what Miley Cyrus did at her 19th birthday party last November, when Kelly Osborne and her closest friends (sans the one who sold her out) presented her with a cake with Bob Marley's face on it. Upon presentation, Miley exclaimed,"You know you’re a stoner when your friends make you a Bob Marley cake. You know you smoke way too much fucking weed!" To which Kelly Osborne joked, "I thought salvia was your problem!" Unfortunately, it only seemed to make the situation worse. The former Hannah child superstar couldn't exactly get away with a private birthday party, let alone jokes about getting high, without backlash from fans, parents, and even conservative Christian websites. Osborne attempted to quell the situation with tweets defending the joke.
Vanity Fair
5. She stripped down for her Vanity Fair photoshoot.
Amidst Cyrus' leaked photo scandal, Vanity Fair dropped their June 2008 featuring none other than a topless Miley Cyrus in nothing but a white sheet covering her lady parts. Renowned photographer Annie Liebovitz, who shot the feature, released a statement defending her work saying, ""Miley and I looked at fashion photographs together and we discussed the picture in that context before we shot it. The photograph is a simple, classic portrait, shot with very little makeup, and I think it is very beautiful." If you're a sucker for reading obscene situations into simple photos, the rest of the photos in the shoot feature Miley with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, posing, as some people have noted, like "boyfriend and girlfriend."
Penis Cake

If you haven't clicked a link that read something to the effect of, "Miley Cyrus Loves Penis Cake," then you probably haven't spoken to anyone or been on any social media site for the past week. Miley Cyrus was recently snapped at her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth's birthday party pretending to take pleasure in devouring a ginormous cake in the shape of a penis. The former Mousketeer has recently been on a roll when it comes to angering conservative groups, and the fellatio photo was simply icing on the cake, so to speak.
Leaked photos
3. Risqué photos of her surfaced before she turned 18.
Private photos of Miley Cyrus have been slowly leaking since 2008, when the pop star was just 15 years old. The photos have ranged from explicit pics of an underage Miley in her underwear to supposed "lesbian" photos of the over-18 starlet with her alleged assistant. Despite her legal team's attempt to take action over the photos, her cell phone portraits are still accessible all over the web.

Miley Cyrus had her moment with Adam Shankman, the 44 year-old openly gay producer of her film The Last Song (2009). The two were caught on video grinding against each other during the film's wrap party in Georgia during the summer of 2009. According to the NY Daily News, the wrap party was a family affair and a number disturbed parents abruptly took their kids home after witnessing the lap dance.

In 2010, Miley Cyrus and The Case of What's In The Bong was one mystery that had the stoners on the interwebz examining her every move in the infamous "Miley Cyrus Getting High" video. Given her hallucinations about her boyfriend, her rambling gibberish, and her hysterical laughter about how much she's tripping, we should at least be content knowing it was the "legal" drug salvia, not mari-ju-wana.
