Complex’s Family Style Food Festival is headed to Miami for the art world’s biggest weekend. On Saturday, December 6, artistic director Nina Chanel Abney and more than 25 top restaurants will land at 110 NE 36th St., along with Jordan, Toyota, Pepsi, and streetwear collabs from Kids of Immigrants and Sky High Farm Goods, and music by DZA, Silent Addy, and more. Ahead of the event, we rounded up all the restaurants, partners, and collabs we’re most excited to check out. See you in the Sunshine State.
Trill Burgers
Bun B’s Houston burger emporium is returning to Family Style with its signature smash burgers. Attendees can expect to enjoy juicy, crisp-edged patties stacked on more patties with cheese and fixins, and, of course, trill service. But don’t wait to approach the booth, because Trill Burgers always draws crowds.
The Toyota Drive-Thru x KYU
Toyota is rolling into Family Style Miami with its own Drive-Thru. There, guests can try an epic cuisine collab from Chef Raheem Sealey of Kyu and cookbook author and content creator Twaydabae. That duo has teamed up on a special iteration of Kyu’s fried chicken, this time served as a sandwich on a house-made bun with spicy lime aioli, pickles, and tangy coleslaw. Toyota will also drop a KYU merch collaboration featuring two aprons, a tote, and a dad cap. Come through and enjoy.
El Bori Food Truck x Kids of Immigrants
El Bori Food Truck has been serving Miami comida Puertorriqueño muy rico for more than five years. Kids of Immigrants has been serving the streetwear world insightful designs for almost ten years. At Family Style Miami, the two will team up on collaborative merch only available through the festival. Be there for sorullitos, bolitas de mofongo, and rare garms.
Pari Pari
Miami's Pari Pari bills itself as a "serious handroll company™." And that's true, with the spot offering a variety of classic handrolls, along with signature standouts like A5 Wagyu Aburi handrolls and sashimi appetizers. Pull up to the Pari Pari booth at Family Style and enjoy a Miami sushi staple.
Rocky's Matcha x Sky High Farm Goods
With its roster of beloved, ceremonial-grade green tea beverages, Rocky's Matcha just keeps getting more popular. At Family Style Miami, it will partner with Hudson Valley agricultural nonprofit and clothing label, Sky High Farm Goods, on a small-scale drop. Swing by for a pick-me-up and streetwear staples with a green thumb.
Jordan Brand
Jordan Brand is heading to Family Style Miami to unveil its collaboration with SoleFly on a Jordan 3 model designed to honor the working people of South Florida. The SoleFly x Air Jordan 3 comes with a white upper, an orange suede heel, and green hits throughout. Based on its working-class inspiration, SoleFly and Jordan have taken to calling the shoe the “Fruits of Your Labor” release. The shoe will be available for limited purchase at Family Style, so get there early. Once you secure your SoleFly x Air Jordan 3s, stay for a Cuban delicacy from Jumpman’s other festival partner, El Palacio de los Jugos.
Versailles x Family Style
Versailles is known as "the World's Most Famous Cuban Restaurant." Since 1971, it’s been dishing out some of the finest Cuban fare in South Florida through its walk-up La Ventanita coffee window, a sit-down dining room, and a bakery. With a resume like that, Family Style couldn’t pass through Miami without linking with Versailles on a festival merch collab. Come through to cop a cafecito and some merch from the collaboration.
Pepsi
It’s not just a slogan, it’s for real. Food does deserve Pepsi, and if you’re headed to Complex Family Style Miami, then you’ll have your pick of all the tasty food options, while being able to sip on an ice-cold Pepsi. Pepsi Chasers will be on the grounds, handing out vibes and cold Pepsi cans. And for those who love free merch, you can spin the Pepsi wheel for a chance to win some T-shirts and tote bags. Because let’s be real, is it even a Complex Family Style without Pepsi? Yeah, no.
The Wolf Of Tacos x Family Style
Miami's own The Wolf of Tacos is proud to "do tacos the proper way." That means simply, with only a couple of ingredients, so that the carne asada, lengua, and longaniza in its Mexico City-style creations can shine through. The Wolf of Tacos serves it all up with a big dose of hospitality, making for one of the best Mexican food experiences in South Florida. At Family Style, The Wolf of Tacos is teaming up with the festival itself to drop event-only merch commemorating this remarkable weekend.
The Cîroc Athletic Club
Cîroc is heading to Complex’s Family Style Miami with its Cîroc Athletic Club table-tennis setup. To complement the luxe ping-pong vibe, Cîroc is also serving Transfusion sample cocktails throughout the day along with a collaborative menu from Miami’s own Ted’s Burgers. Cîroc and Ted’s Burgers are also dropping a merch capsule consisting of a rugby shirt, a dad cap, and a duffle bag.
Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Credit Card From Chase
The Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Credit Card from Chase is coming to Miami, offering big perks to cardmembers. First, cardmembers can enjoy expedited access into the event and the gift shop. They can also step into the Boundless Getaway Lounge for an escape from the chaos, with details inspired by two of Marriott Bonvoy’s most incredible properties: the Prince Sakura Tower in Tokyo and the Círculo Mexicano in Mexico City. In the lounge, attendees can enjoy one lite bite and one beverage inspired by each location.
Drinking Pig BBQ
From the palate of Chef Raheem Sealey comes Drinking Pig BBQ. This award-winning Miami spot specializes in brisket, ribs, smoked wings with in-house sauces, and traditional barbecue sides like collard greens, coleslaw, and beans. At its brick-and-mortar location, Drinking Pig BBQ closes when the food runs out. And it always runs out fast. We wouldn't expect things to be much different at Family Style, so be there early.
