Under the Sea, a New Burger King Menu Awaits

Burger King’s ‘The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants’-inspired selection features SpongeBob’s Krabby Whopper, Mr. Krabs’ Cheesy Bacon Tots, and more.

The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants hits theaters on Dec. 19. To celebrate, Burger King is launching a new SpongeBob menu inspired by the movie. Starting Dec. 2 at participating restaurants and while supplies last, fans of the under-the-sea lifestyle can enjoy four new Burger King items, as well themed packaging, and collectible toys based on The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants. Come through and try the Burger King sea-sonal SpongeBob creations, dropping just in time for the holidays. And don’t sleep on the collectibles, which are certain to go fast.

The Burger King SpongeBob menu will feature SpongeBob’s Krabby Whopper, a ¼ lb. all-beef patty, flame grilled on a yellow square bun, dressed with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions, splashes of mayo and ketchup, and, of course, melty American Cheese.

Mr. Krabs’ Cheesy Bacon Tots are also on the menu. These crisp, coin-shaped fluffy potato tots are stuffed with gooey cheese, savory bacon bits and come served in a treasure chest carton just like they came straight from the Krusty Krab.

Next up among the BK, The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants offerings is Patrick’s Star-berry Shortcake Pie, a strawberry shortcake slice with strawberry and vanilla flavored creamy layers on a crunchy cookie crumb crust. Each comes topped with cookie crumbles and pink star-shaped sprinkles, a star-studded ocean treat fit for SpongeBob’s best buddy, Patrick.

Burger King will also be serving a Pirate’s Frozen Pineapple Flavored Float. This refreshing, icy delight is a frozen pineapple flavored beverage topped with tropical flavored cold foam. Sip it up and let your imagination travel to a pineapple under the sea.

In addition to the special SpongeBob menu items, Burger King is also adding a King Jr. Meal for the tiniest fans in the family. Each special-edition SpongeBob King Jr. Meal comes in a pineapple shaped Under the Sea Box, and includes one of six collectible SpongeBob toys and a limited-edition SpongeBob crown.

Along with the special SpongeBob menu, Burger King is transforming one of its Miami restaurants into a month-long under-the-sea extravaganza.

For all of December, the Burger King at 701 NW 37th Ave. in Miami will be outfitted with SpongeBob decor, evoking an ocean-themed wonderland, where guests can enjoy the SpongeBob menu amidst an immersive movie experience.

To kick the experience off, it will also host a SpongeBob-themed Miami Adventure for one weekend only. From 12-8pm on Saturday, December 6, and 10am-8pm on Sunday, December 7, guests can swing by to complete fun challenges for a chance to win prizes and become a Swashbuckler, all while tasting the exclusive Burger King SpongeBob menu available for a limited time only.
