Dream Pops
Birthed by marketeer-turned-mad food scientist David Marx in a Berlin lab, Dream Pops is the "first ever 3D printed, superfood popsicle," a modern marriage of technology and taste. If it sounds too good to be true, then just wait until you try their Matcha, Honeymelon, or Mango Rosemary pops. Sweet dreams are made of these.
The Greasy Wiener
Hailed by local food connoisseurs as one of the best gourmet hot dogs in Los Angeles, the Greasy Wiener offers creative twists on your run-of-the-mill street dog, rejuvenating a time-tested product with delicious ingredients and flavor combinations. Take a look at their menu, grab the dog of your choice, and you'll quickly discover why they're the "best wieners on wheels."
Fatburger
Since 1952, Fatburger—a.k.a. the Last Great Burger Stand—has been serving up can't-miss burger, shake, and fries combos to every hungry patron who walks through their doors. Order an original Fatburger, and you'll know exactly why ComplexCon Cultural Director/Executive Pharrell partnered with this classic joint in 2007 and 2008 to open up two locations of his own.
Free Range L.A.
It's no surprise that Eater Los Angeles named Free Range L.A. one of their best fried chicken sandwiches in the city last year. It only takes one look at their expertly-curated Instagram to start your mouth watering for some of the best comfort food the West Coast has to offer. Whether you take them up on that specialty sandwich, or decide to side with a sweet and savory chicken and waffles dish, you're in for a Southern-style meal you won't soon forget.
Yeastie Boys
A good bagel is hard to find outside of New York City. However, as Los Angeles' "first and only bagel truck," Yeastie Boys has taken on the mission of delivering fresh baked, hand-rolled bagels to local Angelenos day in, and day out. Their hard work has resulted in a menu full of bomb breakfast options, including "legendary" cheese bagels, according to the Los Angeles Times. Start your first day at ComplexCon the right way.
Salt & Straw
It's been named one of "the best ice cream shops in America" by Thrillist, and was praised by the Wall Street Journal for its "blissful" offerings. Make no mistake about it: Salt & Straw is the real deal, offering ingenious and unexpected ice cream flavors like avocado and strawberry sherbet, black olive brittle and goat cheese, and honey lavender. More conventional standbys like chocolate gooey brownie and double fold vanilla are regularly available as well, but what makes this ice cream shop stand out among the thousands across the country is its willingness to reinvent and experiment with one of America's most beloved desserts over and over again.
Juice Served Here
Juice Served Here isn't just a cold-pressed juice company and product—it's a lifestyle. Founded by Alex Matthews and Greg Alterman, the company includes Emma Stone and Gwenyth Paltrow among its fans and customers, offering a wide range of gourmet juices to help cleanse and detoxify your systems. Its selection of specialty packs, subscription plans, and standalone items is sure to please any hardcore juicer. After a long day at ComplexCon, you'll be glad to re-energize with one of their refreshing B-12 juices.
Green Truck
Sustainability is a topic of growing importance among restaurateurs, as more and more establishments look for ways to go green. Since 2006, Green Truck has lived up to their name by instituting eco-friendly business practices, including the composting of their packaging and utensils, refusing to use plasticware and Styrofoam, setting up a solar-powered kitchen, and recycling their vegetable oil to provide energy for their food trucks. As for the grub, it ranges from organic and vegan burgers to tasty quinoa and salad bowls. Spend your money here to make ComplexCon a better, greener place.
Kogi
In 2008, Korean BBQ taco truck Kogi took the Los Angeles streets by storm, offering an irresistible blend of cuisines at even better prices. Since then, Kogi has expanded to a full fleet, acclaimed by critics from outlets across the country, including the New York Times, Newsweek, and the Los Angeles Times. In November, the revolutionary establishment will bring its delicious spicy pork tacos, kimchi quesadillas, and short rib sliders to ComplexCon.
