Wendy Williams appears to be doing better.

The former talk show host spoke with The Cut about her current circumstances of living in a luxury dementia facility following her dementia diagnosis. In a conversation with the publication over the phone, she deemed the New York City spot to be a “dump.”

"Did you see the people? The elderly people? Why do I want to look at that?" she said.

She’s bemoaned her circumstances for months, previously calling her facility a “prison” on The Breakfast Club in January. In addition to not being permitted visitors, she can only make outgoing calls on her landline, though a judge recently allowed her access to an iPad, on which she watches the news about herself and listens to her old radio show.

Still, it seems she’s been given occasional permission to leave her facility and was even spotted at New York Fashion Week. When asked about being able to socialize, Williams said, "You know, I've been out. So obviously I do go out."

She’s also begun attending a “megachurch” in Brooklyn.

"It gives me faith and keeps me very well in touch with God and myself," she added.

In the story, features writer Jessica Bennett was given the opportunity to visit Williams’ facility, describing it as “impressive.” Bennett also saw Williams in the gym and noticed that “she looked good.” When the writer commented on Williams’ physical appearance, the 61-year-old nodded to her lip and breast implants, appearing not to have completely lost her spark.

"And you know what?" she responded. "It's still hitting and holding."
