Valkyrae might opt out of streaming on Twitch.

On Sunday, the streamer revealed she might return to YouTube because Twitch is making her feel “gross.”

Her comments came after several Twitch-related scandals — two of which involved streamer Emiru, who was recently assaulted at TwitchCon, as well as abuse allegations against her ex-boyfriend, Mizkif. Another controversy involved streamers Nina Lin and Zoe Spencer, who were banned for 48 hours after a 2024 clip resurfaced showing them assaulting FaZe Silky’s assistant.

“It’s been a wild week, you guys. It’s been crazy. It makes me feel like streaming is so gross,” Valkyrae said at around the 7:00 minute mark.. “I feel like because I’m a streamer, it’s just gross.”

“A part of me is like, I just want to quit streaming on Twitch and just only be on YouTube again. It just feels gross. I feel gross just being around it, being associated with it, being in the eyes of some crazy people. I’m not sure things are going to change for the better.”

Valkyrae later said she can’t fully quit because she employs people. “This is the first time I’ve actually considered just getting off the internet. But I can’t. I have employees to take care of.”

She also addressed Emiru’s allegations against her ex. “It’s a mess. It’s very messy. It sucks. It just sucks. I feel so bad for Emiru,” Valkyrae said. “I just feel like the streaming space sucks. It’s embarrassing. I don’t even want to be a streamer anymore.”
