Tracee Ellis Ross wants you to know that she brings enough underwear when she travels.
In a recent Instagram Story, the Black-ish actress clarified comments she'd made at Travel + Leisure’s annual World’s Best Summit event.
“There’s always one bathing suit, a flip flop, and one little dress I can roll up. And there’s always two undies," she told Travel + Leisure Editor-in-Chief Jacqui Gifford on July 15, per People, in response to a question about what she brings along when she travels.
“Two undies, that’s it?” Gifford asked.
Ross then explained that she handwashes her undergarments in her hotel sink. There's video proof of her doing this that has since resurfaced, though the cip's origins are unclear.
“If I’m gone for a month on this trip, you can’t pack a month's worth of underwear,” Ross told Jacqui. “How do you do that? They take up a lot of space.”
After her comments garnered widespread notice, Ross clarified on her IG Story: she always packs two pairs of underwear in her carry-on bag, in addition to whatever additional pairs she may pack in her actual luggage.
“This is hilarious,” she wrote. “I pack 2 pairs in my carry-on…in case my luggage doesn’t make it!!! That’s what I said. People hear what they want.”
