Tom Hardy is a huge sneakerhead—and has Venom to thank.

The Marvel actor appeared in the latest episode of Complex’s Sneaker Shopping with Joe La Puma to discuss his affinity for sneakers and his penchant for swiping shoes from movie sets.

When asked if he can pick out what shoes he gets to wear in a film, Hardy said at around the 9:10 minute mark, “I like to choose sneakers if I’m allowed to, yeah. It’s a wish fulfillment.”

“Like I would never have worn those if Sony hadn’t paid for them, and I took them,” he added, pointing to the Off-White x Air Jordan 5 he wore in 2021’s Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

When La Puma straight up asked if Hardy takes shoes from movie sets, he replied, “Anything Tommy touches, Tommy takes. That’s the law.”

Let There Be Carnage was the sequel to the first Venom film from 2018. The series' final installment is this year’s Venom: The Last Dance, which also stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno Temple, and Rhys Ifans.
