George Lowe, best known for his voice acting on Cartoon Network's Space Ghost Coast to Coast, died on Sunday. He was 67 years old.

Lowe’s representative confirmed his passing to Deadline. His cause of death is unknown. His friend “Marvelous Marvin” Boone shared that Lowe was suffering from a "long illness" in a Facebook tribute.

“I’m beyond devastated,” Boone wrote. “My Zobanian brother and best friend for over 40 years, George Lowe, has passed away after a long illness. A part of me had also died. He was a supremely talented Artist and Voice actor. A true warm-hearted Genius. Funniest man on Earth too. I’ve stolen jokes from him for decades. He stole some of mine. He was also the voice of Space Ghost and so much more. Pweeloto.”

Lowe’s first major role came in 1994 as the voice of Space Ghost on the animated series, Space Ghost Coast to Coast, which ran until 1999. The show was a parody of talk shows, hosted by the Hanna-Barbera character Space Ghost, and featured live-action celebrity guests, including Busta Rhymes, Willie Nelson, and Raven-Symoné. The series returned to Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim programming in 2001 and aired until 2004.

Lowe voiced Space Ghost for the spinoff, Cartoon Planet, and was a series regular on Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Robot Chicken, and The Brak Show, among others. Last February, he voiced Space Ghost in an episode of Max’s Jellystone.

In 1996, Lowe, as Space Ghost, interviewed Talking Heads’ David Byrne for Space Ghost Coast to Coast, which you can watch below.
