Shia LaBeouf and FKA twigs have settled her abuse lawsuit outside of court.

Both parties’ lawyers issued a joint statement to TMZ.

"Committed to forging a constructive path forward, we have agreed to settle our case out of court. While the details of the settlement will remain private, we wish each other personal happiness, professional success and peace in the future."

Court documents obtained by the outlet reveal that twigs requested the court dismiss all of her claims against LaBeouf without prejudice, which means she can’t take him back to court in the future.

In December 2020, FKA hit her ex with an explosive lawsuit, accusing him of sexual battery, assault, and infliction of emotional distress.

"I'd like to be able to raise awareness on the tactics that abusers use to control you and take away your agency," twigs told The New York Times.

She later told Gayle King that it was “a miracle I came out alive.”

“I honestly wish I could say that I found some strength and I saw this light,” she said. “I wish I could say, ‘[It is] a testament to my strong character,’ or ‘It’s the way my mother raised me.’ It’s none of that. It’s pure luck that I’m not in that situation anymore.”

While LaBeouf denied FKA’s allegations, he told The Times he does shoulder some of the blame.

“I’m not in any position to tell anyone how my behavior made them feel,” he said. “I have no excuses for my alcoholism or aggression, only rationalizations. I have been abusive to myself and everyone around me for years. I have a history of hurting the people closest to me. I’m ashamed of that history and am sorry to those I hurt. There is nothing else I can really say.”

The former couple met on the set of the movie Honey Boy and dated for nine months, ultimately splitting in mid-2019. They cited conflicting work schedules for their breakup.
