Kim Kardashian has shared that she thinks the 1969 U.S. moon landing was fake and didn’t actually happen.
She made the claim on a clip of Thursday’s (October 30) episode of The Kardashians. When NASA's Acting Administrator Sean Duffy caught wind of her comments, he took to X to respond.
"Yes, @KimKardashian, we’ve been to the Moon before… 6 times!" he wrote, before adding: "And even better: @NASAArtemis is going back under the leadership of @POTUS. We won the last space race and we will win this one too."
On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first and second people, respectively, to walk on the moon.
Duffy included the clip from The Kardashians episode, where Kim makes her claims to Sarah Paulson. The pair are set to co-star in Ryan Murphy’s new legal drama series, All’s Fair.
"I'm sending you, like so far, a million articles — interviews — with both Buzz Aldrin and... the other one," Kardashian told Paulson, referring to the late Armstrong.
"This girl says, 'What was the scariest moment?' And [Aldrin] goes, 'There was no scary moment, cause it didn’t happen. It could've been scary, but it wasn't, 'cause it didn't happen,'" Kardashian continued.
The reality star went on to explain that because Aldrin has "gotten old," his recent comments have made her doubt the Apollo 11 mission. "I think it didn’t happen," Kardashian said. Paulson didn’t appear to be swayed in either direction, and told Kim K that she would go on "a serious deep dive" herself.
Kardashian continued talking about the topic to a show producer. "I don’t think we did. I think it was fake," she said, adding that Aldrin "says it all the time now, in interviews."
