Keith Lee and Tobe Nwigwe ate their way through ComplexCon Family Style.
Lee welcomed Nwigwe to his hometown of Las Vegas during the two-day festival, where the pair sampled a variety of foods from Vegas and Houston. First up were burgers and fries from Bun B’s Trill Burgers, which Tobe called “scrum-diddly-umptious.” Keith responded, “I’m eating, bro. I’m smashing, easy.”
Next up was Artist Shang Noodle, from which they ate wontons and beef shank noodles. “Now, this is a place I go almost every day. No exaggeration,” Lee said. “I see why you order this three times a week,” Tobe responded. “This one’s seasoned to perfection.”
Lee then tried the Nigerian specialty, suya for the first time, but in the form of a chopped cheese from African Chop House. “This is culture, tradition, heritage,” Tobe said, who is of Nigerian descent. Lee admitted that while he isn’t the biggest fan of chopped cheese, the meat was “seasoned well.” But the suya clearly hit when he ate it by itself. “Welcome home,” Tobe added.
Lastly, they sampled dessert from Saint Honoré Doughnuts and Beignets, which Lee said has the only “gourmet couture donuts” in Vegas. "These are, in my opinion, up there,” he added.
ComplexCon is taking place now in Las Vegas, and you can still cop tickets here to attend the event, which wraps on Sunday, Nov. 17. Playboi Carti performed on Saturday night and Travis Scott will perform on Sunday night.
