While Lil Wayne and Kodak Black were among the multiple people who received a pardoned or granted clemency from Donald Trump, Joe Exotic wasn’t one of them.
After not receiving the clemency he expected, the Tiger King star slammed Trump on Twitter. “I was too innocent and too GAY to deserve a Pardon from Trump," the 57-year-old wrote. “I only mattered to Don Jr. when he needed to make a comment about me to boost his social media post. Boy were we all stupid to believe he actually stood for Equal Justice? His corrupt friends all come first.”
In fact, it appears that Exotic had a stretch limo awaiting his release outside his lawyer's office in Forth Worth, Texas.
In addition to 73 pardons, Trump also handed out 70 commutations to various white-color criminals and friends. Exotic is currently serving a 22-year sentence for his role in a murder-for-hire plot and violating wildlife laws. He and his team were clearly unhappy with Trump's snub, as reports from earlier this month revealed that his lawyers traveled to D.C. for an allegedly “high-level” meeting.
