Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling are still going strong after 13 years together.
In a new interview with The Sunday Times, Mendes very candidly described her and Gosling’s relationship.
“I feel really fucking sexy at times,” she told the publication. “The way my man looks at me is just … at times I’m like, ‘Oh my God.’”
She added, “That might not sit well with people, but so much of how I feel is a reflection of what he’s giving me.”
The couple met in 2011 on the set of The Place Beyond the Pines, and have since welcomed two daughters together, 10-year-old Esmerelda and 8-year-old Amada.
“There’s so many things that can make me feel sexy and I’d say that I feel more sexy than not,” she continued. “I guess because I’ve never considered myself beautiful, but I’ve always felt very sexy.”
While Gosling is still very much a denizen of Hollywood—having appeared in the Academy Award-winning film Barbie last year and 2024’s The Fall Guy—Mendes stepped back from acting to raise their kids. Her bigger movies include 2001’s Training Day, 2003’s 2 Fast 2 Furious, 2005’s Hitch, 2010’s The Other Guys, and 2012’s The Place Beyond the Pines.
“I don’t mean this in a self-deprecating way, but I wasn’t a great actress,” she explained to The Times. “I had my moments when I worked with really great people.”
While the couple have never confirmed whether they are married, they have suggested it before. In 2022, Mendes called Gosling her husband for the first time in a public setting. "Everybody is welcoming us, it's been so beautiful. My husband Ryan is here … we're having the best time," she told the Today Show Australia of her family’s visit to the continent.
In September, Mendes released her debut picture book, Desi, Mami, and the Never-Ending Worries. Back in April, Gosling was seen wearing a t-shirt bearing the kids book’s title during an interview with Hits Radio about his and Emily Blunt’s movie, The Fall Guy.
