Home Alone 2 is a classic Christmas movie, beloved by many, which unfortunately also features a cameo from Donald Trump.

His role in the film was brought up during a video conference call to U.S. troops overseas on Tuesday, when one sergeant asked if Home Alone 2: Lost in New York is the president’s favorite holiday movie, Deadline reports.

“Well I’m in Home Alone 2,” he said to the troops. “A lot of people mention it every year, especially around Christmas. They say—especially young kids—they say, ‘I just saw you on the movie.’ They don’t see me on television as they do in the movie. But it’s been a good movie and I was a little bit younger, to put it mildly. And it was an honor to do it.”

He also, of course, mentioned the film’s financial success, which translated to $365 million globally in 1992. “And it turned out to be a very big hit, obviously. It’s a big Christmas hit—one of the biggest. So it’s an honor to be involved in something like that, you always like to see success.”

Trump had a small part in the Home Alone sequel when the main character Kevin (Macauley Culkin) accidentally boarded the wrong plane and found himself in Manhattan. At one point, he asks a man (Trump) for directions in the lobby of the Plaza Hotel, which the president owned back then.

Needless to say, if you're deciding which installment of Home Alone to watch this Holiday season, go with the original.
