Clavicular ended a 60 Minutes Australia interview early when he was unexpectedly hit with a question about his beliefs.
During the 50-minute conversation, correspondent Adam Hegarty asked the influencer if he identifies as an incel.
“How could you ask me that question as a follow-up after you asked me about my relationships to women? I mean, that's quite literally the worst sequence of questions I think I've ever heard,” Clavicular responded at the 48:05 minute mark.
When Hegarty rephrased and asked how Clavicular felt about being connected to the incel community via looksmaxxing, Clavicular again denied any involvement.
“I'm not linked to that group in any way. Looksmaxxing is self-improvement, right? So it's about potentially even ascending out of that category. So that would be kind of one of the goals is to disassociate from being an incel and overcome that. So that doesn't make sense,” Clavicular explained.
Hegarty kept pressing and asked the 20-year-old why he spent time with Andrew Tate and other “rather controversial figures.”
“I see you want to make this political,” Clavicular responded, prompting Hegart to say, “Not at all.”
“I guess you watched the Piers [Morgan] interview,” Clavicular then said. “Too bad I didn't have time to look into, you know, anything about potentially, you know, who your wife cheated with, but don’t try to go down that line of questioning with me.”
“I’m not married, Clav,” Hegarty said in response to the streamer’s threat.
By that point, Clavicular seemed to be done. “So I could teach you about looksmaxxing, and then maybe you could switch that up. Thanks for the time, appreciate the interview,” he added before walking off.
Clavicular is known for participating and popularizing “Looksmaxxing,” which promotes maximizing one’s physical attractiveness through everything from basic grooming to extreme methods, such as surgery, in order to meet male beauty standards. Looksmaxxing originated on incel message boards in the 2010s.
As for the Piers interview, in February, Morgan showed footage of Clavicular hanging out with Andrew Tate and his brother, Tristan, as well as Nick Fuentes and Sneako. The group appeared to be partying on a bus together in Miami while listening to Ye’s banned song, “Heil Hitler.”
As Hegarty pointed out, all the members of that circle are extremely controversial. The Tate brothers are associated with the “manosphere,” an internet movement that uplifts men and discredits feminism. Last year, in the UK, the pair was hit with 21 criminal charges, including rape, assault, and human trafficking. Prior to that, in 2022, they were arrested in Romania over rape and human trafficking allegations.
Meanwhile, Fuentes is a far-right political commentator and live streamer who recently admitted to Morgan that he’s still 27 and a virgin, and that he finds women “very difficult to be around.” While Sneako began as a streamer focused on gaming videos, his content has evolved into right-wing political and social commentary, and he has been widely denounced for being misogynistic and antisemitic. He’s also a Ye acolyte.
