Chris Evans and his wife, Alba Baptista, have just welcomed their first child together.
TMZ reports that Baptista gave birth to a girl on Saturday (Oct. 25) afternoon in Massachusetts. The couple has named her Alma Grace, and she'll take both of her parents' last names.
The couple wed in September 2023 in a private ceremony on Cape Cod after confirming their relationship earlier that year. The pair met in Europe, and according to People, friends said it was “love at first sight.”
"They got serious very quickly," the source told the outlet. "He kept saying he knew she was the one. He has been ready to settle down for a while. He can’t wait to have a family. He was just waiting for the right girl."
Over the summer, Baptista’s father Luiz Baptista suggested Alba was pregnant on a fan page. “Many thanks dear Chris. Your turn is coming!” Evans’ father-in-law wrote.
“I proposed to my wife in Portuguese,” Evans told the Knot in June. “She’s Portuguese, so I learned how to say ‘will you marry me?’ in Portuguese. I had practiced it all week.”
He added, “I got really nervous when it came time to do it. I actually think I screwed it up, but I still know it.”
