Amber Rose Speaks at the Republican National Convention, Says Donald Trump Isn't Racist: 'These Are My People'

The model spoke about being a mother and a newly converted Trump supporter.

Amber Rose took the stage at the 2024 Republican National Convention on Monday, where she fully embraced her newfound standing as a MAGA acolyte.

The model's speech focused heavily on her father, who is pro-Trump, per USA Today. According to Rose, it was her father who convinced her that the ex-president isn’t racist.

Rose explained that, at first, she wasn’t in favor of Trump—and actually spoke out against him when he ran for president in 2016. But after doing her own research, she discovered that “Trump and his supporters don’t care if you’re Black, white, gay, or straight.”

“And that’s when it hit me: These are my people. This is where I belong," Rose added.

“I’m here tonight to tell you, no matter your political background, that the best chance we have to give our babies a better life is to elect Donald Trump president of the United States,” Rose exclaimed.

“I’m no politician and I don’t wanna be, but I do care about the truth, and the truth is that the media has lied to us about Donald Trump,” she continued. “I know this because for a long time, I believed those lies.”

Over the last few months, Rose has shown her support for Trump online, posting photos of her with Trump and Melania, and posing in a bikini with a MAGA hat. Last week, she shared that she was slated to appear at the RNC.

"It's true! I'm speaking at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee #MAGA," she wrote on X.

She was singing a very different tune during Trump's presidency. Old anti-Trump tweets surfaced following her endorsement of the 78-year-old in May, in which she called him a "sexual predator" and compared him to Harvey Weinstein.

"Mannn fuck the fact that he's old and fuck the fact that he was on TV. He is a sexual predator just like Trump and Harvey [Weistein]! (I hope they get their day as well)," a tweet from September 2018 reads.

She subsequently defended Trump on IG underneath a Shade Room post and slammed Joe Biden at the same time.

"Lmaooo y’all think Biden cares about black ppl??? Sad. Do your research,” she wrote. “I did. I’ll always put women first. Y’all want biological men in women’s sports. Trump supports the most reasonable compromise on abortion. Stop being brainwashed, cuz WE’RE ppl of color. Make your own decisions."

The Republican convention is taking place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin from July 15 to July 18.
