50 Cent is wondering if Vivica A. Fox wants the red or blue pill.
On Monday night, Fif hopped on Instagram to react to Fox’s recent suggestion to avoid dating rappers, and him in particular. He posted a likely AI-generated image of himself wearing an extremely Matrix-coded outfit, with his palms open, one containing a blue pill and the other, a red pill.
“Either way I’m a have that ass in the matrix, you know I love me some you girl,” 50 wrote. “But damn it’s been 22 years, Vivica.”
His response comes after Fox made comments about not dating rappers during the Ultimate Women’s Expo over the weekend.
When an audience member asked about chasing their dreams, Fox said, “Don't date 50 Cent, don’t date no damn rappers.” She added, “Facts! … Just so you know, it took me years to be able to laugh about it. I had to learn to laugh not to cry no more, but I did it.”
This isn’t the first time the former couple has made headlines together since they called it quits in 2003 after just three months of dating. Back in 2018, Fox said she wasn’t opposed to rekindling with 50 Cent.
Then, in 2021, 50 responded to Fox calling him the love of her life.
“I’m never bothered by when she says that,” he told Charleston-based radio host Kris Kaylin. “At the time that we actually interacted with each other, we weren’t conscious of everything else that was going on.”
Again, in 2023, Fox joked about reuniting with the Queens rapper: “Well, [Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez] did it again. Why not?” she said on Sherri.
Fox and 50 Cent briefly dated after the 2003 BET Awards, and even walked the red carpet together at the MTV VMAs that year. She later appeared in his 2009 music video for “Do You Think About Me,” despite their issues continuing to play out publicly.
