Tiffany Haddish Makes Fun of Her Own Celebrity Net Worth in 'SNL' Monologue

Haddish became the first black female comedian to ever host the sketch show.

Tiffany Haddish made Saturday Night Live history this week, when she became the first black female comedian to host the sketch comedy show. It’s a shocking fact when you consider the show’s 40-year-plus history. In fact, there only four black women have served as guest host since 2005: Kerry Washington, Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, and Gabourey Sidibe.

Haddish’s opening monologue touched on everything from the success of Girls Trip to sexual assault allegations by powerful men in Hollywood to why she'll wear her Alexander McQueen dress multiple times (hint: because it is expensive).

You can watch the comedian’s full monologue above.

2017 has been a huge year for Haddish, who became the breakout star of the hit film Girls Trip, co-starring Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Regina Hall. That project also made history, as it became the first comedy film to be directed, filmed and produced by African Americans.

Haddish has also appeared on series like the Carmichael Show, New Girl, Real Husbands of Hollywood, and Chelsea Lately. She’s also gearing up to star in the 2018 comedy Night School alongside Kevin Hart.
