Nick Cannon says he’s done making babies.

The 41-year-old entertainer, who will soon be a father of eight, spoke about his decision during a recent appearance on E! News’ Daily Pop, when hosts Justin Sylvester and Loni Love how many kids he plans to have. Cannon insisted he found purpose in fatherhood, but reiterated his intention to stop expanding his family after he and girlfriend Bre Tiesi welcome their first child together later this year.

“I don’t know if I would’ve designed it this way, but it’s one of those things when you’re blessed with the gifts of children—and as we all know, I’ve been through so much,” he explained. “I find solace, I find peace in my children, and I find purpose.”

He continued, “I already went and got my vasectomy consultation. I ain’t looking to populate the earth completely, but I’m definitely looking forward to taking care and loving all the children that I currently have.”

Cannon shares 11-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex-wife Mariah Carey; 5-year-old son Golden and 1-year-old daughter Powerful with Brittany Bell; as well as 11-month-old twins Zion and Zillion with Abby De La Rosa. He and Alyssa Scott welcomed a baby boy, Zen, in 2021, who tragically died from brain cancer just five months after his birth.

The Masked Singer host touched on some of the challenges that come with so many young kids—especially as a person with multiple projects and ongoing gigs on his plate.

“I do have the guilt of not having enough time to spend with all of my children, as we all do because we’re working and constantly going,” he admitted. “Especially right now when they’re younger.”

Cannon said he’s always working to be a part of the kids’ lives—taking them to school in the morning, FaceTiming them, and attending little league games. He also expressed his intentions in helping his kids pursue their passions in creative fields like music or acting.

“You definitely gonna see some Cannons on the screen and hear their music,” he playfully said. “I’m going to have to recoup some of this. So they gonna be some talented babies.”

Check out Cannon’s full interview at E! News, where he also speaks on his newly released “Alone” track he wrote for Carey.
