Megan Thee Stallion Addresses Removal of Popeyes Hottie Sauce in 'SNL' Monologue

The Houston rapper also served as this week's musical guest. The episode aired just two days after Megan's Los Angeles home was ransacked by thieves.

Megan Thee Stallion has reached another career milestone.

The Houston rapper was tapped as both host and musical guest for this week’s episode of Saturday Night Live, joining an exclusive list of stars who’ve pulled double duty on the long-running sketch series. Other celebrities who’ve reviewed such honor include Donald Glover, Chance the Rapper, Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, and most recently Lizzo.

As part of her hosting gig, Megan warmed up the crowd with an opening monologue in which she introduces who she is and addresses the removal of her Popeyes Hottie Sauce. You can watch the full video above.

The Traumazine rapper took to Twitter on Friday to announce she was taking a “break” after her SNL appearance. She shared the news just hours after her Los Angeles home was targeted by thieves who made off with $300,000 to $400,000 worth of property.

Megan, who is in NYC at the time of break-in, addresses the incident on social media, writing: “Material things can be replaced but I’m glad everyone is safe.”

The Los Angeles Police Department have yet to make any arrests in connection to the burglary.
