Apple Cider Margarita
What You'll Need: 3 oz. apple cider, 2 oz. 1800 tequila, 1 oz. Grand Marnier, 1/2 lime, pinch of brown sugar
Before I continue, I just want to acknowledge how blasphemously Caucasian the notion of an apple cider margarita is, but i'ts good! Simply shake everything up, pour over ice, and garnish with apples. It tastes even better if you post to Instagram like a good Caucasian.
Spicy Margarita Ole!
What You'll Need: 1.5 oz. Sauza Hornitos tequila, 1 oz. Grand Marnier, 1.25 oz. sweet and sour mix, lime powder, serrano powder
Shake up all the goods and pour over ice. Prep rim of glass with paprika, salt, and lime. Garnish with jalapenos.
Blue Drank Margarita
What You'll Need: 1.5 oz. Olmeca Altos tequila, 1 oz. blue Curaçao, 1 oz. lime juice
Don't know what Curaçao is? I didn't either. It's a liqueur that's blue, but it tastes like orange bitters. Go figure. It makes for a really cool looking margarita, and that's all that matters. Shake ingredients until blended and serve over ice. Can be served with a salted rim.
Tropical Margarita
What You'll Need: 1 lime wedge, 2.5 oz. of orange, mango pineapple juice, 1 oz. Tequila Don Julio, 1/2 oz. Cointreau, 1 tsp. agave nectar
Prep rim with lime and sugar. Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and pour over ice. Garnish with lime wedge. Final step: pretend you're in Cancun (when really you're just sitting in your tiny apartment watching the snow melt and getting drunk alone on National Margarita Day. It's hard being a winner.)
Cranberry Margarita
What You'll Need: 1.5 cups cranberry juice cocktail, 3/4 cup lime juice, 3/4 cup Casamigos tequila, 1/2 cup Cointreau
I know this sounds too easy to be true, but you should be sufficiently soused by now so I'm going to make this one super simple. Stir it all together and pour over ice. There, you're done. Don't forget to prep the rim with either salt or sugar beforehand, though. Presentation is everything. Even if you get sloppy, keep your margaritas looking classy, amigo.
Blackberry Margarita
What You'll Need: 1.5 oz. Qui tequila, 1/2 cup blackberries, 1 oz. lime juice, 1 oz. Grand Marnier
Pile it all in a blender, pulsate until smooth, strain over cheese cloth or similar mesh fabric/mechanism and serve over ice. Don't forget to prep your rim according to your taste.
Sour Patch Margarita
What You'll Need: 2 oz. Voodoo Tiki Gran Dragon tequila, 1/2 oz. Triple Sec
This is for all my lazy baby boys out there. You put the candy at the bottom of the glass and let the corn syrup do its magic to sweeten the cocktail. I suggest not rimming the glass with salt because that's gonna taste like a mistake.
Pomegranate Pistola
What You'll Need: 2 oz. Dobel Tequila, 1 oz. pomegranate juice, 1 oz. orange juice, 1/2 oz. lime juice, a squirt of agave nectar
As the name suggests, this one is a bit of a handful because you need to shake it up hard to really get the flavors infused. So don't be afriad to shake like no one's watching. Serve over ice.
Blood Orange Margarita
What You'll Need: 3 oz. fresh blood orange juice, 2 oz. Tequila Don Julio, 1 oz. Grand Marnier, splash of agave nectar
Rub orange slice along rim then dip in salt or sugar. Shake up ingredients then pour over ice.
Miami Margarita
What You'll Need: 1 peeled passion fruit, lemon juice, 1 oz. honey, 1/2 tsp. Shichimi Togarashi powder, 2 oz. 1800 tequila
Blend passion fruit until smooth, pour in shaker with remaining ingredients, shake until mixed, and pour over ice.
