While there are those out there who believe Empire is the best show on TV, the TV Academy wasn't feeling that when it announced the Emmy nominations today.
The series' inaugural season did get three nominations (best actress in a drama for Taraji P. Henson, and two nods for costumes), but was overlooked in the all-important Best Drama Series category.
Creator Lee Daniels apparently had some thoughts about that, which he shared in an Instagram video post he tagged #canfinallypostthis, #timetoberealagain and #emmyniceguyoverwith. Empire's Jussie Smollett was there too.
