The best of the best put on a competitive performance like no other for the 2024 World Surf League Lexus Surfing Finals. Located at San Clemente’s Trestle Beach, attendees witnessed Caitlin Simmers and John John Florence take home the championship titles for the men’s and women’s competition.
Simmers, at just 18, became the youngest person in WSL history to win a title. After losing the first round against fierce competitor Caroline Marks, Simmers dominated the final two rounds with impressive scores. Over on the men’s side, John John Florence, a Hawaii native, won his third WSL championship title beating Brazil’s Italo Ferreira.
And while the surfing world’s best fought for the championship, fans of the athletes and the sport were able to take a beat and enjoy the luxurious Lexus House located right on the water. A limited capsule collection from LA-based brand Free & Easy was also on display inside of the Lexus House. The collection included merch along with surfboards seven lucky attendees walked away with.
As the event title sponsor, the luxury car brand also brought luxury and innovation together in one sleek hub. Passersby were also able to see the Lexus LX 600 Ultra Luxury on display. But this wasn’t a generic Lexus on the beach just for show. The Lexus LX 600 is perfectly made for the surfer in your life. It comes equipped with a surf rack, functional cargo ladder, and roll cage. And the two tone exterior, blue body with white top, is the quintessential compliment for the beach and everyday commuting.
