But for others, college is about helping others, giving them a hand, and pulling them up along with you. That’s certainly the case for Spelman senior and theater major Shelby, who cofounded X-Press Yourself, an educational mentorship program she runs with her fellow Spelmanite Raiyon. That dedication to mentoring younger students caught Complex’s attention, prompting us to work with Target to help Shelby get her college living space looking fresh and updated for fall 2020. In addition to sending her a slew of furniture and school supplies, we set Shelby up on a call with Nadeska, who gave her advice on home furnishings, acting, and community service.
