Ozzy Osbourne's family is still reeling from the death of the rock legend, but one thing is clear ... they're seeing the outpouring of love from all who are celebrating his life.
Gavin Rossdale posted a tribute to Ozzy just hours after his death, sharing a photo of the two together with the caption, "RIP OZZY - a great man -a true legend - i met ozzy through jack just a few times but he was so warm and kind and funny and i love that memory .sending much love to his family at this difficult time. Rest in power."
Sharon Osbourne, who has remained silent since the family shared their heartbreaking loss, commented "Bless You" on Rossdale's post.
The family announced on July 22, "It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time."
Of course, the news had a significant impact on the rock and music world as a whole, with tributes pouring in from around the globe.
Ozzy was 76 when he died, but took the stage for one final time just two weeks before his death in a show that featured rock royalty as well as a reunion with Black Sabbath for Oz.
The concert, titled Back to the Beginning, was held July 5 at Villa Park in Aston, Birmingham, England—a location close to where Black Sabbath was formed back in 1968.
Guns N' Roses, Metallica, Slayer and others performed at the event before Ozzy took the stage on a throne—unable to stand because of his battle with Parkinson's Disease.
Among some of the hits Oz belted out were "Crazy Train," "Mama, I'm Coming Home," "War Pigs," and "Iron Man."
