Lindsay Lohan's Freakier Friday wasn't the only movie getting some love at the film's premiere ... because a surprise The Parent Trap reunion also went down.

Lohan, Jamie Lee Curtis and cast were on hand July 22 in Hollywood where they strutted the themed purple carpet for the premiere of their new Disney flick. However, it was Lohan's reunion with Parent Trap stars Elaine Hendrix and Lisa Ann Walter that really stole the show for millennial fans.

It's been close to 30 years since the movie that made Lohan a household name was released, and fans at the premiere were super excited to see Chessy, Meredith and Hallie/Annie back together again.

The three posed for several pics and both Hendrix and Walter showed some love on social media to Lohan, highlighting the special moment.

Walter, who is now a regular on Abbott Elementary, posted a pic of the three, writing, "So proud of these gorgeous ladies." Hendrix reposted a fan's video who called the reunion "Important to millennials everywhere."

The Freakier Friday premiere was held at the El Capitan Theatre. Chad Michael Murray was also on hand for the event ... he was in the original Freaky Friday back in 2003 and has a role in Freakier Friday as well.

What's more ... Christina Vidal Mitchell, the artist behind the single "Take Me Away" from the OG Freaky Friday performed the song live from the purple carpet. In a video shared from the event, Lohan and Curtis can be seen jamming out to the song with fans who clearly appreciated the performance.

Freakier Friday is set for release on August 8 and features Curtis and Lohan's Tess and Anna Coleman as they experience yet another body swap ... this time with two teenage girls.

While Lohan has found recent success in some Netflix projects, the Disney film marks her return to a major studio project.
