Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington's new series Little Fires Everywhere has officially found a home just days after their exciting announcement. Hulu has won the bidding war between networks and streaming services, and picked up the TV adaptation for a limited straight-to-series eight-episode order, Deadline reports.

Along with starring in the series, the actresses will also co-executive produce through Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine, Washington’s Simpson Street, and ABC Signature Studios. Liz Tigelaar (Casual, Bates Motel, Nashville) is set to write the script. Little Fires Everywhere is based on Celeste Ng's 2017 bestselling novel, and was even featured in Witherspoon's book club.

Set in the 90s, the book follows two families living in Shaker Heights, Ohio (where Ng grew up) who are brought together by their kids. According to Deadline, the storyline explores "the weight of secrets, the nature of art and identity, the ferocious pull of motherhood – and the danger in believing that following the rules can avert disaster."

"Celeste wove a beautiful, riveting story that spoke to all of us, and when we heard the vision Reese, Kerry and Liz have for the series, we knew immediately that we had to bring it to Hulu," Hulu’s chief content officer Joel Stillerman said. "We’re honored to bring this powerful story to the screen with Hello Sunshine, in their first studio project. This is exactly the type of compelling and culturally relevant content that embodies our Hulu Originals brand."

Witherspoon shared the news on Twitter, writing "I can’t wait!!! Can you @kerrywashington & @hulu ?!? #LittleFiresEverywhere" along with a bunch of flame emojis. As of now, there is no set premiere date for Little Fires Everywhere.
