Selena Gomez is continuing to embrace married life with Benny Blanco—and after the last few weeks, she is making it increasingly clear that she is all in.
On April 6, Gomez posted a new series of photos to Instagram and signed the caption “Mrs. Blanco,” marking the first time she has publicly referred to herself that way.
Per People, the post featured a collection of domestic moments with Blanco, including the couple cooking together in their kitchen, smiling for a selfie while Blanco held a spatula.
Another image showed a personalized wooden cutting board engraved with Blanco’s likeness, while a separate photo captured Gomez leaning against her husband with her engagement ring on full display.
Over the past month, Gomez and Blanco have gone from keeping much of their relationship relatively private to openly sharing some of the stranger, more personal moments from their day-to-day life.
That shift became impossible to ignore earlier this month when Gomez appeared on Blanco’s Friends Keep Secrets podcast. The show had already gone viral after Blanco’s debut episode featured him putting his bare feet on a couch while visible dirt covered the bottoms of his toes and soles.
During the same episode, he also intentionally passed gas on the microphone, asking his co-hosts, “Wait, see if you guys could pick this up?”
Rather than distancing herself from the backlash surrounding the podcast, Gomez leaned directly into it when she joined the show. At one point during the episode, she bent down and kissed Blanco’s bare foot on camera.
Blanco looked stunned by the gesture and asked, “You like that?” Gomez quickly shut down the moment before it could spiral further, telling him, “Don’t make it a moment.”
Blanco still admitted he was touched by it. “I liked it. It made me feel good. I love you so much,” he said.
The foot-kissing moment fit into a larger pattern of Gomez publicly defending and celebrating Blanco despite the internet fixation on his hygiene habits. Blanco previously revealed that he does not shower every day because, in his view, “the oils on your skin need time to rejuvenate and get juicy.”
He has also said he likes to smell “a little bit like man, a little bit feminine,” adding that he prefers there to be “an aroma” when he walks by.
Long before she started calling herself “Mrs. Blanco,” she publicly praised Blanco for being “the best thing that’s ever happened to me” and joked that one of the reasons she loved him was because he always brought her Taco Bell Mexican Pizza.
