Popular YouTuber Adam the Woo, whose real name was David Adam Williams, has died at the age of 51.

Authorities confirmed to People that Williams was found unresponsive inside his home in Celebration, Florida, on Monday, December 22. An autopsy is pending, and the cause of death has not yet been determined.

Williams spent more than a decade building a devoted following online by turning curiosity into a full-time career. He first launched a YouTube channel in 2009to document road trips, abandoned locations, and filming sites associated with movies and television.

In the early years, he famously lived out of a van, funding his travels primarily through viewer support, becoming one of the first on the platform to do so.

His reach expanded significantly in 2012 with the launch of The Daily Woo, a channel built around consistency and movement. For five straight years, Williams uploaded a new vlog every day, eventually traveling to all 50 states.

His videos ranged from small-town Americana to haunted houses, roadside attractions, and historic landmarks that rarely appeared in mainstream travel guides.

Theme parks became one of Williams’ most recognizable beats. A longtime Disney enthusiast, he regularly filmed at Disneyland and Walt Disney World while also delving into Disney history beyond the parks.

That included visits to Kansas City sites connected to Walt Disney’s early career, such as the former Laugh-O-Gram Studio location and Union Station.

In recent years, Williams began expanding his scope beyond the U.S., documenting international trips while continuing to spotlight overlooked destinations at home.

His final video, posted just days before his death, featured a walkthrough of Christmas decorations around his residence in Celebration, Florida.

According to a statement released by the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to Williams’ residence after a welfare check led to the discovery of his body.

"The residence was secured, and no contact was made with the adult male residing there," a spokesperson for the sheriff's office told People in a statement. "Deputies then responded back to the location for an unattended death at 2:53 pm. A friend had borrowed a ladder and looked in the 3rd story window to see a male on a bed that was not moving. Upon entering the residence with Fire Rescue, the male was reported deceased."

His family has been notified, and officials have said the investigation remains ongoing.
