Hands-free creation is becoming a real option for content makers on OnlyFans, thanks to a new wave of wearable tech that puts livestreaming directly at eye level.

The New York Post points out that there's a pair of AI-powered smart glasses called Mentra Live that are set to launch in the U.S. on February 15, offering creators a way to capture and broadcast video without holding a phone or camera.

Priced at $299, the glasses are built around a simple idea: remove friction from the act of going live. Using voice commands, wearers can record photos and videos or stream directly to platforms such as OnlyFans, Twitch, X, YouTube, and TikTok. The company says the goal is to let creators stay present on camera while the hardware fades into the background.

What separates Mentra Live from other smart eyewear is its open-source approach. The glasses run on MentraOS, a proprietary operating system that supports an onboard app store.

According to the company, this allows developers—and users—to customize how the glasses function, from note-taking and translation tools to AI-assisted features that respond to what the camera sees.

“With Mentra Live, it’s your data, your apps, your glasses,” the company said in a press release announcement.

The product enters a growing wearable market. Mentra Live’s pitch emphasizes practicality and affordability, especially for creators who want an always-ready camera without investing in a full production setup.

From a hardware standpoint, the glasses are designed for extended wear. They weigh 43 grams, feature a matte black frame, and connect via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The built-in camera offers a 119-degree field of view and records in 1080p HD, while stereo speakers and three microphones handle audio capture, voice commands, and calls.

Notably, the glasses do not include a visual display. Mentra says that omission is intentional, arguing that screens add weight and drain battery life. By skipping a display, the company claims it can keep the glasses lighter and more affordable while extending their battery life.
