A new legal case is drawing attention to the extended orbit of the Miss Universe world, as Justin McKeone—the former husband of Miss Universe Australia Olivia Molly Rogers—has been charged with dozens of fraud-related offenses in Australia.

According to the Australian Associated Press (AAP, via Yahoo News), McKeone appeared in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Friday after being charged earlier this month with 115 counts of fraud. Authorities allege that the 38-year-old dishonestly transferred company funds to himself while working for Cozmic Sales Pty Ltd, which operated under the name Rocket Brands.

According to court documents, the alleged activity took place between June and October 2024 and totaled $481,490.33.

Prosecutors claim McKeone created false ledger entries to conceal the transactions, effectively recording payments he was not entitled to receive. He is currently charged by summons and is scheduled to return to court on June 5 for a committal mention.

McKeone did not address the court during the brief hearing and sat alongside his legal counsel as dates were set.

The case follows a separate civil proceeding brought by his former employer in 2024. That matter was ultimately dismissed by a judge on March 31, 2025, with the consent of all parties, according to court records.

McKeone was previously married to Olivia Molly Rogers, who held the Miss Universe Australia title. The couple’s marriage lasted approximately eight months before their separation in 2022.

Rogers has spoken publicly about the relationship, offering insight into the challenges she experienced leading up to the wedding.

“My boundaries weren’t being respected, there were patterns of behaviour I didn’t agree with and I had come to realise our values were not aligned,” Rogers said in a social media Q&A.

She also revealed that “something significant happened… a couple of days before the wedding,” which left her questioning her decision to move forward.

Despite considering calling off the ceremony, Rogers said she felt she had “too much to lose” given the circumstances and expectations surrounding the event.

Reflecting on the experience, she encouraged others to trust their instincts, adding, “If you are hesitant to tell the people close to you about what is going on… there’s a high chance that things aren’t right.”
