Marlon Wayans and Skye P. Marshall are set to host the announcement of nominees for the 83rd Annual Golden Globes, bringing two very different — and very current — corners of Hollywood together for one of awards season’s most closely watched moments.

According to Deadline, all 28 categories will be revealed on December 8, kicking off the countdown to one of the film and television industry’s most high-profile nights.

Wayans enters the Golden Globes spotlight amid an especially active stretch in his career. The multi-hyphenate entertainer is currently on tour with his Wild Child stand-up run, while also continuing to expand his film résumé. He recently appeared in Jordan Peele’s psychological sports-horror film, Him, and has wrapped production on Scary Movie 6, which he co-wrote, produced, and stars in.

Marshall, meanwhile, represents a newer generation of prestige television talent, even though she has an extensive and storied career that predates modern television shows. She currently stars alongside Kathy Bates on CBS’ legal drama Matlock, one of the network’s most-watched scripted series. Her previous credits include key roles on Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and The CW’s Black Lightning.

The nominees will be announced beginning at 8:15 a.m. ET / 5:15 a.m. PT on CBSNews.com, with select categories unveiled at 8:30 a.m. ET on CBS Mornings. Viewers will also be able to stream the reveal live via CBS News’ YouTube and TikTok channels.

The awards ceremony itself will air live on January 11, 2026, on CBS and stream on Paramount+ in the U.S., with comedian Nikki Glaser returning as host.

This year’s Golden Globes lineup includes 28 categories, featuring the introduction of a new award for Best Podcast. Most categories will consist of six nominees, while Cinematic and Box Office Achievement will expand to eight contenders.
