Larsa Pippen's son, Preston Pippen, is speaking candidly about the personal toll of growing up amid one of the most public celebrity breakups in sports and entertainment. During Netflix's Calabasas Confidential, the 23-year-old reflected on how his parents' divorce—and the headlines surrounding his mother's alleged relationship with rapper Future—followed him into the classroom and strained friendships he thought he could trust.

Preston explained that navigating a divorce as a teenager was difficult enough before the added scrutiny of celebrity gossip and social media attention. According to him, the situation became even harder as both of his parents moved forward with their personal lives. "It kind of sucks when your parents are divorced," he said. "That's one thing, and then once they start dating, it's another thing. If they get remarried, then it's a bigger thing."

Larsa, a longtime reality television personality and former wife of NBA legend Scottie Pippen, spent years in the spotlight through her connections to both professional sports and the Kardashian family.

At the time, Preston said his mother was receiving intense public attention and was "friends with a very famous family," making it difficult to escape conversations about her personal life.

In one of the show's more emotional moments, Preston described how the rumors surrounding Larsa's alleged romance with Future became a source of ridicule among classmates. "People I thought were my friends would make jokes," he said.

He later recalled that after his parents' split, classmates would intentionally play Future’s music around him. "Kids at school, like my friends, would play music by a rapper that my mom was talking to at the time, and it was just sh*tty," he said.

Preston also revealed that his parents no longer speak to one another.

The alleged relationship with Future has remained one of the most discussed chapters of Larsa's personal life. Larsa has previously said the rapper entered her life during a difficult period when she and Scottie were separated, and she was struggling emotionally.

In a 2021 interview, she said Future "gave me confidence" while she was dealing with uncertainty about her future and her family.

Since her split from Scottie, which was finalized in 2021, Larsa has remained a fixture in celebrity headlines. She has been linked to several high-profile figures, including Tristan Thompson, Malik Beasley, and Marcus Jordan, whose relationship with Larsa became one of the most talked-about celebrity pairings in sports culture before ending in 2024.
