Kid Rock is making a major change to his upcoming “Rock the Country” tour, with organizers announcing steep ticket discounts just days before the festival kicks off. The move, which offers up to 50% off general admission passes for select dates, is being framed as a response to rising travel expenses for fans.
According to Rolling Stone, promoters said the price cut was intended to offset higher costs at the pump. “Fuel costs are up, and we want to help!” the statement read. “In response to rising transportation costs, you can enjoy up to 50% off general admission passes to any of 7 small town stops for a limited time only… Take advantage of this offer, fill up your tank, and we’ll see you this summer!”
The update arrives as the multi-city festival, co-headlined by Jason Aldean, prepares to launch May 1 in Bellville, Texas. The traveling lineup features a rotating mix of major country and rock acts, including Jelly Roll, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Staind, among others, before wrapping in Hamburg, New York, on September 12.
Alongside the pricing shift, the tour has also adjusted its lineup. Jelly Roll is no longer scheduled to appear at the June 28 stop in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, with Staind stepping in for that date. However, he remains booked for other stops, including Bloomingdale, Georgia, and Ashland, Kentucky.
The changes have sparked mixed reactions from fans, particularly those who purchased tickets earlier at higher prices. “Tell us that we can and how to get a refund?” one commenter wrote on Facebook. “Jelly Roll was the whole point of going… those of us who paid at the beginning of ticket sales just got screwed out of quite a bit of money.”
The latest developments follow a series of earlier shakeups surrounding the tour, including multiple artists departing the lineup and at least one scheduled stop being removed altogether.
