Chris Noth is making it clear that his relationship with his longtime Sex and The City co-star Sarah Jessica Parker is over—and, according to him, it’s been that way since sexual assault allegations against him surfaced in late 2021.

In a recent interview with People, Noth said there’s been no reconciliation and no communication between the two actors, despite decades of working together.

“We’re not friends,” he said bluntly, adding that he believes Parker’s public response to the allegations marked a definitive break in their relationship.

At the time the accusations became public, Parker released a joint statement alongside And Just Like That co-stars Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis expressing support for the women who came forward.

Noth said he understood the professional pressures behind the statement but was disappointed that it came without any private conversation.

But according to Noth, what stung most was the absence of a direct call from someone he had worked with for years. He said he had hoped Parker would reach out to hear his version of events before weighing in publicly. That conversation, he noted, never happened.

Multiple women accused Noth of sexual assault or misconduct in incidents alleged to have occurred between 2002 and 2015. The claims were first reported in December 2021.

Noth has repeatedly denied the allegations, maintaining that all of his sexual encounters were consensual. In a separate interview with USA Today, he acknowledged having extramarital relationships but said the accusations of assault were untrue.

The fallout had immediate professional consequences. Noth’s appearances on And Just Like That were cut short, and several business partnerships were severed. Publicly, his former co-stars did not revisit the issue beyond their initial statement.

Noth said the situation forced him to reevaluate his personal relationships. He described the experience as clarifying, saying it revealed who was willing to stand by him privately and who was not.

If the roles had been reversed, he added, he would have wanted to hear the accused person’s account before making judgments.

The tension resurfaced recently after Noth replied “Right” to a critical Instagram comment aimed at Parker.

He later downplayed the exchange, calling it a sarcastic response that had been blown out of proportion, and urged followers not to treat it as meaningful news.
