Long-running rumors surrounding Cara Delevingne, Amber Heard, and Johnny Depp have finally been addressed by one of the people at the center of the speculation. During a candid appearance on The Louis Theroux Podcast, Delevingne confirmed that she and Heard became romantically involved after Heard and Depp separated, saying their relationship began while Heard's highly publicized divorce was unfolding.

The topic surfaced when host Louis Theroux brought up years of reports that Depp had been suspicious of Heard's friendship with Delevingne during the filming of London Fields. Theroux noted that Depp had reportedly been "driven crazy by the idea that Amber might be sleeping with you." Delevingne pushed back on the timing, explaining, "It's because we did a movie together, and it was called London Fields. He was also doing the movie. I think he was pretty driven crazy by jealousy. Nothing was happening at that point. Later, after they divorced, it had, I suppose."

Pressed to clarify, Delevingne confirmed the relationship in more direct terms. "We were close for a long time, and then when they were going through the divorce, yeah, we were entangled," she said, before adding that Heard "was also entangled with other people."

When Theroux replied, "Well, with Elon [Musk]," Delevingne answered simply, "There you go."

Depp and Heard's 15-month marriage began unraveling in 2016 after Heard filed for divorce and obtained a temporary restraining order while alleging domestic abuse. Depp denied the allegations throughout the proceedings.

Although the pair reached a $7 million divorce settlement later that year and issued a joint statement saying their relationship had been "intensely passionate and at times volatile," their legal conflict was far from over.

The former couple's dispute expanded into two closely watched courtroom battles. Depp first lost a 2020 libel lawsuit against The Sun in the U.K., where a judge ruled that the newspaper's description of him as a "wife beater" was substantially true under British civil law.

Two years later, the legal fight shifted to Virginia, where Depp sued Heard over her 2018 Washington Post op-ed. After a six-week televised trial that dominated social media and news coverage, a U.S. jury largely sided with Depp, awarding him damages while also granting Heard a partial victory on one of her counterclaims.

The case ultimately concluded with a 2022 settlement in which Heard agreed to pay Depp $1 million.

Beyond revisiting her relationship with Heard, Delevingne also reflected on other defining moments in her career during the podcast, including revealing that disgraced producer Harvey Weinstein once warned her that being openly involved with women would damage her future in Hollywood.
