In a post on X, YesJulz seemingly called out a Seattle Seahawks player for sliding in her DMs even though he’s married.
On Monday (Feb. 9), the 35-year-old influencer and former talent manager of Kanye West posted about DM etiquette.
“If you slide in my DM’s and I go to your page & see a post with you & you’re [sic] wife, I’m screen shotting and sending to her immediately,” she wrote. “And idgaf if you just won the Super Bowl. It’s time people adopted some morals.”
It’s unclear who she’s referring to, but the post seems to indicate that it was a player from the Seahawks, because her message came just one day after the team bested the New England Patriots 29-13 in the Super Bowl.
YesJulz made headlines for a different reason recently. In a new interview, Daniel Caesar opened up about the controversy he found himself years back in when he defended her amid accusations of cultural appropriation.
In 2017 Julz, who is white, shared a post which included an image of a t-shirt that read "N***as lie a lot." She later apologized for the post. In 2019, Ceasar stood up for her in an Instagram Live stream.
"As time has passed, I’m like, 'Oh, they were 100 percent right,'" he said on an appearance on The Breakfast Club last month about Julz’s critics. "When you accept this type of behavior from people that throughout history have exemplified to you that they hate you, and then you accept the behavior to get out of the circumstances that you’re in, it’s undignified. You’re giving up your own dignity.”
